Christmas On The Comstock

 

Join us in historic Virginia City for 3 days of holiday fun and family excitement!

Friday, Nov. 30th ~

Civil War Christmas Ball ~ Pipers Opera House, 6PM (doors open at 5:30PM)

Enjoy a night of meriment and holiday festivities as Civil War re-enactors gather to ballroom dance in period attire from the 1860′s! Tickets are $17.50 for adults, $10 for kids age 4 to 15, and kids 3 and under are free. All tickets include a delicious holiday meal!

Immediately following dinner, our own dance master, Gus Gustophson will lead everyone in traditional ballroom dances of the day. If you don’t know how to ballroom dance, free and easy instructions are given before each dance. It’s a LOT of fun and everyone can join in!

David John & The Comstock Cowboys ~ Pipers Opera House, 7:30PM (doors open at 7)

On the heels of releasing his 12th CD entitled, “Songslinger”, David John is ready to kick off the holiday season in Virginia City as David John & The Comstock Cowboys present “Christmas in The Sierra”

This musical tradition is unlike any other holiday show you’ve ever seen and its a special production that you don’t want to miss! Pipers Opera house is magically decorated in full holiday gala as the stage is transformed into a Christmas wonderland with the smooth western sounds of David John & The Comstock Cowboys.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door and are available at The Bucket of Blood Saloon or the Virginia City Visitors Center.

(Runs at Noon & 2PM – V&T Train Depot on F St.) Take a magical 40 minute ride on a beautifully decorated Christmas train complete with hot chocolate, Santa’s elves, and holiday treats! (Train fare will be charged)
STROLLING CAROLERS featuring “The Loreleis” (no admission charge)
