Mountain Men

See history come to life as members of the Eagle Valley Muzzleloaders and Lakes Crossing Muzzleloaders recreate mountain and frontier living from 1800 to the 1840′s!

As men moved westward in search of new lands and horizons, many brave souls endured the harsh elements and unknown terrains as they chartered new pathways for the thousands of settlers who would follow in their footsteps throughout the growing stages of our nation.

Today there are dedicated individuals who tell the story of those early mountain men and explorers, with accurate detail of how life was during the pre-Civil War days of the American West. Visit their encampments along the south edge of the park and touch, learn, listen, and perhaps get involved with, the living history that these colorful men and women bring to the forefront of our imaginations!
