Governor Brian Sandoval invites you to a very special evening, Thursday, Oct. 27th, 2011, to celebrate Nevada’s 147th birthday and to honor and remember the victims, families, and the first responders who were all affected by the tragic events that occurred at the Carson City IHOP and Reno Championship Air Races this past summer.

Proceeds from this event will be distributed evenly between the two support groups who are the leading agencies that distribute funding to the appropriate families and victims of these tragedies.
The IHEAL Community Fund was created with a donation of $5,000 from Carson Medical Group to benefit the victims in the IHOP shooting in Carson City on September 6, 2011.
Since that time, the fund has grown at an amazing pace thanks to community generosity and the Carson Tahoe Foundation who has stepped up to assist with the management of the fund. The fund is a non-profit charitable 501 (c) 3 organization.
Think Kindness is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization that aims to inspire thousands from coast to coast to change the world through seemingly simple random acts of kindness. We’ve created several elementary, middle, high school and corporate programs that challenge individuals to “Change The World. . .In 15 Days”.
Each event draws everyone together for one common purpose. . . to make a difference. In addition to school challenges, the organization creates unique fundraising events that draw hundreds within the community to participate in massive community acts of kindness. Think Kindness is sanctioned by the Reno Championship Air Races to be the managing fund for all donations and charitable causes that directly benefit the victims and families of the September 2011 air race crash.
